In this post we will discuss about rows and columns-together they both create tabular structure of excel to store data.

Horizontal alignments of cells are known as rows in excel and are identified by row numbers displayed at the beginning as shown in the fig below.

I have selected row number 5 in the pic below.

Vertical alignment of cells together are known as columns and are identified by column header by alphabet A, B,C…etc shown at the top.

In the fig shown below I have selected the column C.

We could navigate through the cells by arrow keys one by one.
